Keeping Your Dog Cool and Hydrated During San Diego’s Summer Heat

Well, it’s full-on summer here in San Diego. While the sun-kissed look is beautiful, but it can be tough on our furry friends. Keeping your dog cool is essential whether you're hitting up Oceanside Beach or strolling through Balboa Park.

Tips:

Hydration Stations: Carry a portable water bowl and ensure your dog drinks plenty of water, especially after playing at the beach or in the park. There are some really cool combo units out there that are an easy add into the EDC.

Shade and Rest: When visiting the Nado or cruising through PB, always provide your dog with a shaded area to cool down. Some neat products like pop-up tents or these cooling pads they can stand/lay on are great to bring in the beach tote.

Avoid Hot Pavement: This is a 0-brainer but some people insist on doing it. Find shade, move quickly, play the sun is lava…idk but the pads on their paws while robust and durable, are sensitive to heat.
